In his inaugural collaboration with Aterballetto, Marcos Morau, a proeminant figure in contemporary dance, delves into the musical and cinematic landscapes of Ennio Morricone.
The Spanish choreographer, known for his visionary approach and transformative artistic style, presents a unique performance that melds dance, visual arts, and cinematic elements. This multidisciplinary work revisits Morricone’s legendary compositions, paying tribute while simultaneously infusing them with innovative creative interpretations.
« Morricone’s music captures an abstract sense of the unspoken and the unseen in cinema. Though his music is nearly inseparable from the visuals it accompanies, it surpasses mere background to intertwine with life itself—echoing memories and reflecting both the beauty and the brutality of a constantly evolving world. »
